The three short films The Bun In The Oven, Sing Little Bird and Achmed, The Blue Wonder, were all shot in my flat in Berlin over the past year. Each of them has an original story line and follows a narrative pattern.
They are all inspired by different film-genres, which are referred to visually and through plot structure. I allocated each one to a particular room in the flat (Western/ kitchen, Asian fight-film/ bed- and bathroom, ‘Heimatfilm’/ living room ).
All characters that appear in the films are played by myself, in ever changing make-up and costumes.
