three Maï T & UFO's teddies in the show:

TODAY'S THE DAY by Anne Bean

On 17 September 2004, seventy-two identical and pristine teddies were dispatched from Cafe Gallery Projects to spend exactly one year in different locations around the globe.

In its twelve-month journey, the teddy project has morphed through many states of existence. Transformed by successive contexts, the bears have made the shifts from children’s toy to artist’s multiple; readymade to customised art object. They have existed in real-time as 365-day durational performance, then been translated through the distorting mirror of documentation; have intervened in the arena of the everyday, then returned to the bounded art-space; been fragmented into 72 separate site-specific installations then reassembled as a single cabinet of curiosity.

As part of REAP the teddies return to Coleman Project Space for the Today’s the Day exhibition.
