"The new donor, the artist as patron, attempts to understand real situations,
to integrate the
complex of antropological situations; he does not want to impose his preposition
´at any cost´. Comprehension, participation, attention- these
are his keywords. The artist-donor always strives to take part in real antropological
situations.; he wants his tangible contribution not to
disturb anything, but instead to complete and enrich existing structures.
By his attentive
approach to these determinate realities, the artist-donor seeks to embelish,
to conserve the
values of the micro-communities born of these antropological processes, to
develop their
potential and consolidate their emotional and intellectual reserves. His contribution
is his
participation; his attitude is his gift. To take part, sensitize and open
up perspectives, to discover human resources- such are the bases of the aestehtic
strategy used by the artist-donor. Modest and generous, moderate and gentle,
his attitude is typically post-utopian thought.
Utopia is always present in artistic thought, but does not always take the
form of teological programming. It consists in the discovery of human resources.
The micro-utopia remains immanent
in reality, and seeks perspectives within real, concrete human activities."
