Sarah Sze:" I tend to see everything I do as research for my work... The idea is to blur the boundaries- to take art off its pedestal and make it more about everyday experience... We´re always in a condition of flux; when you view anything, you´re moving, even if it´s just your eyeball. I´m always interested in ciculation, how you come to a space, what your scale is within the space. For me, sculpture is an incredible oportunity for movement... The experience of making something in the moment, of beeing constantly surprised by what your hand is doing, that comes from painting. My love is still painting. In fact, I don´t like a lot of sculture. I like it when a piece seems to be in conflict with itself."
